This little ensemble is by no means affordable if I had to purchase every piece. The Micheal Kors puffer coat alone would put me in the poor house. However, with only a little tweaking I could make this outfit work with a few items I already have in my possession It does put a damper on the dream shopping fun, but this little list can easily act as part of my letter to Santa for the time being. It is something akin to "warm, woolen mittens" wouldn't you say?

November: Warm for Winter
Things are getting a little chilly around here, especially since I spent the last few days in southern Utah where temps were nearly 70 and sunny pretty much from start to finish of our vacation. When we got back home the only thing I could feel was the chill of a biting wind and dropping temps. Cold, cold, finger numbing cold that made my very knees ache with terror. Wintertime is fine, but this transitional stage always leaves me feeling icy to the bone. I love snow, but I hate just plain cold. If it is going to be cold, there simply must be snow. End of story! Which is why I have given myself a warm winter lineup on beso so that maybe I can be inspired to do battle with the cold while still looking fab.

November : Falling For Native
Whenever November comes around I have this hunger for all things native. I want earth tones, fur, and leather. I want wool and warm. I love feathers and beads. I crave accessories adorned with arrows. I will even take bison prints if they are available What do I blame for this crazy, deep seated craving? It must be all those Native American headdresses I made in elementary school. I mean what could possibly beat construction paper feathers glued to a brown strap and stabled around my head? Just call me Tiger Lily.
Admit it though! November is the perfect time to break out those native prints and Pendleton blankets. Don't forget all of those rich hues that seem turn up around this time; buffalo blood, or is it oxblood, I mean really! They are so luscious and warm my very own heart. I even have a pinboard dedicated to a native November. It has been collecting images for over a year now. Yep, its getting a little out of hand.
So, here it is, a Beso collection of all the things I would add to my native wardrobe if I had the chance. For now though, I will have to go and dig my honest to goodness Native American moccasins out of the fall/winter clothes storage bin. Wish me luck!

Not So Neutral
I am getting ready for baby to make an exit.
Ok, no I'm not.
The more I think about it the more I am intimidated by the whole thing.
I seriously have yet to buy any type of furniture or basic baby things.
Hopefully the showers in the next few weeks will help motivate me.
Then maybe we can start getting ready.
Oh, and I bought my shoes from Kohls.
They are awesome.
Granted, the baby is making it hard to balance.
So these may have to be saved until post delivery.

Took my sister with me today to take some photos.
Turns out she has quite the knack for it.
Unfortunately we were only out for about two minutes when my camera battery died.
Really it was fun having her along and she was thrilled to help me out.

Inspiration for September :: Not So Neutral
In my closet neutrals almost always mean solid pieces of black, white, grey, and khaki. Don't get the wrong idea, I love my neutrals, and I think everyone does. They are the safe zone of style. Well, I am going to start off my new monthly regime stepping just one foot outside of my little safe zone. For this month I want to focus on neutral pieces that are far from dull.

Falling Into Fashion
I am not a seasonal shopper.
I usually don't latch on to trends.
I always buy what I want, usually when I want it.
This makes for a full and disorganized closet. So...
This new movement is all about change.
This month I am going to commit to a new ideal.
I commit to a theme for one month.
I will only buy clothing, shoes, and accessories to match my theme.
I give myself a budget of 70 bucks.
Now I hope I won't go crazy when I shop.
Now, with limits, I can focus my wardrobe.
Now lets begin.
Lately I have been scrutinizing my overflowing closet and my obsessive retail therapy. I don't even know why I think I need retail therapy, but I do. So now I need voluntary therapy because I am already going through voluntary therapy, how crazy is that? Oh, the vicious cycle! Saturday I hit the gym, hit the showers, and then hit all of my favorite shops consecutively. This makes for an endorphin crazed spree, especially with my growing belly and lack of mental faculties. Baby is due in October so this sick carousel is coming to an end, voluntarily.
I am focusing and cutting back, not out of necessity, but because it is simply the right thing to do. Honestly my closet is a bounty of shirts, pants, sweaters, cardigans, and even some things I am too ashamed to post. Unfortunately my pregs of a body doesn't squeeze into hardly anything anymore. Obviously I have dealt with this in the wrong way, over shopping and overspending. No longer I tell you!
I already have the basics covered, like black jeans, white tees, neutral skirts, button ups and so forth. So I have decided the best way for me to capitalize my closet is to pick a theme for the month and only purchase complimentary pieces for that theme. Themes might include colors, patterns, trends, and so much more. Bonus points if I make something myself. These themed things I will then wear over or with my already collected basics. Comprendo?
Wish me luck! I am turning over a new leaf (since it is almost fall and that is the most appropriate cliche I could think of).
