Monday, monday. Even though I don't really have work, it is still great to have a holiday I can celebrate! My family was home today so we did lunch and some shopping.

The Superman goes back to work this week. I cannot believe the man has had 12 weeks paid leave to be with me and baby. It has been bliss. I will hate it when he leaves. So we watched T.V. and ate pizza today to celebrate some of our last few moments together before reality bites.
1/18/12
Not much to report in the excitement department. Baby hasn't had a dirty diaper in a couple days. I expect a blow out in the near future! Not my favorite.

Today is the official last day of my hubby's FMLA. This calls for family sushi night. We went, we ordered, we conquered. Tomorrow is dooms day.
1/20/12
My first day as an all alone mom. It wasn't bad. I just do what I normally do, hang out with baby. We eat, we play, we sleep. I get some work done with freelance and repeat. Today we broke away for a brunch with my friends. It was good to get out and see other people. Then it started to snow!
1/21/12
Saturday lunch at Pizza Factory. Lately I have been thinking they are going down hill. I do love me a vanilla Italian soda though. It saves that place for me. I also love the Never On Sundae, but didn't have enough familial support after their meals so I settled for cheesecake. Let's face it, I really was settling. Next time Sundae or bust!
1/22/12
Another Sunday sluffer. I am just too afraid baby boy will contact some disease from muggy children. Truth be told, the people in my ward are great! I love them very much and know they would never touch baby if they were sick. I just don't want to take him out in the cold really. My mom says it is a good call, but I feel super inactive. Family came over to watch some football. Baby boy had a blow out so G.G. gave him a bath. I think she gives him a bath every time she visits.

Sunday Evening Post
1/9/12
Monday, Monday. Some people regret the start of a new week, but this is not the case for the occupants of this little house. In last weeks edition it was mentioned that all the days run together and that is still the case. Superman is quickly running out of time off and we are on the home stretch. Soon he will not be able to spend his days at home. Momma and Baby are not looking forward to the change, so every day is precious.
1/10/12
Not much to report aside from a quick trip to visit G.G. again. More time is spent at the grandparents' than any other place. Baby still loves taking rides in the car seat, though buckling him in always proves a challenge.
1/11/12
Today marked the day of the two month check up. It also marked the day of immunizations. The appointment was early morning after a late and long night. Momma is disheveled, Papa is getting sick, and Little Man was happy as a clam until the nurses counted to three and then stuck him. Utter terror and pain erupted. It was a horrific experience for the mother as all she could do was hold his little hands and then cuddle him once the bandages were in place. Brave little heart turned purple in the face and Momma had to blow in his face to get things breathing again. Ibuprofen saved our lives, but not until they received the correct information on dosage from a nurse. Baby finally felt better just before bed. Momma had to have Cafe Rio for dinner to make her feel better.

Today was Granpa's birthday. We ate pizza, opened presents (only from my sister who still gives presents and puts the rest of the family to shame), had red velvet cake and some ice cream, and watched NCIS. This is what Granpa thinks all birthdays should be like.
1/13/12
Shout out to mein bestin freundin (spl?). Her birthday is today, yes on Friday the 13th. She is awesome, she is going to have a baby in a few months, and she is going to make one great mommy! Happy B-day BFF!
1/14/12
Another Saturday full of errands. We always get out of the house on Saturday. Family lunch at Golden Corral. If only I could indulge in the chocolate fountain! Baby boy, you are killin' me with this chocolate aversion.
1/15/12
Skipped church today! I have a little boy who I do not want to get sick. So instead we stayed home and took Sunday naps.

Sunday Evening Post
I have decided to start a few new segments on my blog and this one is meant to get me writing again. When I was 8 years old I was given my first journal. It was a secret garden journal. My mom wrote the first entry and I scribbled in 8 year old scrawl a list of the rest of my presents. My next entry was more than a year later. Not exactly the most successful journal, but it was a start. Lately I have not gotten much better though. So I want to take a brief moment each week and account for the last seven days. We will see how long it lasts, but again, it is a start.
1/1/12 (only because it would be wired to have a post with just one day)
A lovely Sunday was had by family and friends as many gathered for a momentous occasion. Little Man had his blessing today. Superman and proud mommy took time yesterday to find the perfect little Sunday outfit. The sweet baby boy slept through the entire meeting and much of the party. The small residence was brimming with people and soup. Needless to say, the event was a success.
1/2/12
"Today was a recovery day after having our small house invaded," says London. She and little baby boy spent most of the morning and afternoon in bed. That is where they pass much of their time these days. Little Man is smiling, squawking, and kicking up a storm. These early little moments are so precious and every minute is a time of growth for both son and parent.
1/3/12
Everyday mother and son try to take an adventure out of the house. Today's journey was to Target. Otherwise Little Man napped and his mommy tried to clean around the house, but mostly just gazed at one perfect little face.
1/4/12
Not much for the daily report today other than a small excursion to visit G.G. Little Man is willing to share his smiles and few can resist his charm.
1/5/12
Freelance article writing is picking up at the alondonreview residence. The only thing that is remotely troublesome is the fact that the higher up thinks that writing 30 articles in 3 days, with a 2 month old, is entirely doable. Well, it was done. It was stressful, but done.
1/6/12
Friday is a great day. It is a day of looking forward to the weekend. "Lately everyday feels like Friday," Momma says, "because I am home all the time with my little boy. In fact, I am constantly asking my husband what day of the week it is. He is home too and cannot ever give me the right answer without his phone." The 'Review' family is looking forward to a quite weekend.
1/7/12
Today family lunch took place without the Reviews. Saturday is usually a day for extended family lunch. This tradition has been in place for many a decade, but today was a rare exception. Little Man has taken up the early riser routine, meaning that around midnight we wake up and stay up until about 2 a.m. before going back to bed. His mother is not happy with the new routine, especially when sleeping in until 11 a.m. starts messing with tradition. This family runs much like "Fiddler on the Roof," and no one messes with tradition.
1/8/12
Today marked the third real day of church for Little Man. Momma says that spending time in the mother's room is her new favorite routine. "It makes me feel a part of a secret club." Admittedly time does go by faster when church is broken up by 30 minute trips to the diaper room.
