Liebster Award

My newly acquired friend Aubrey, one of the many fab women I met at the blogger meet up, is super funny and super nice. AND she nominated me for the Liebster Award which is so flattering and sweet. I've seen it, the Liebster, floating around the blog-o-sphere a little here and there, but never really understood the thing. Turns out it is especially meant for small blogs, or, like mine, nearly non existent blogs. Aubrey did a quick search and found a post that lays out some of the details about the original Liebster Awards.
Basically... 1. Answer the 11 questions the blogger who nominated you asked you
2. Give 11 random facts about yourself
3. Nominate 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers
4. Create 11 questions for the nominees to answers
A little more searching from Aubrey seems to suggest the rules for passing along the Liebster Award are a little bit up in the air. An example, #3 can be 200-3000 followers and the number to nominate originally was 3-5. So basically this award has pretty much progressed into just do what you want, which is pretty much what I do anyways. So, without further a' do...
Here are my answers to Aubrey's questions... 1. what's your favorite thing about blogging? Honestly, I love connecting with people. I write, I read, and I get to know people. Fab! 2. most embarrassing moment Oh, I have had my fair share. Perhaps my MOST embarassing moment was leaving my retainer in a napkin at Sizzler and then having to go dig through the trash bins. Embarassing and disgusting and happend ten years ago, but is still aweful. 3. favorite dessert I love red velvet, red velvet cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory.  4. dream job Ideally I would love to write my own stuff for a living. Whether it be books, essays, articles--I would just love to earn money doing what I love. No--writing SEO content for freelance does not count. Ew! 5. what blog do you HAVE to read daily? Confession, I really don't READ many blogs. The blogs I like best have fantastic pictures paired with a bit of genuine, funny, soul-baring content. The blog I honestly have to read would likely be Nat the Fat Rat. The blog I love, love, love to look at is You Are My Wild. 6. wardrobe staple The basic white v-neck tee. I can get them cheap at Walmart, they are not see through, and they are comfortable. These are on constant rotation in my closet. 7. favorite book, movie, or tv show My favorite TV Show: Castle. I love it so, so much. 8. your best recipe I make a mean pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. I have to,  because they are my husband's favorite. 9. fly or drive? I love a good road trip.  10. make or buy? If I had the choice, buy. What I have to do out of necessity, make. 11. favorite holiday Thanksgiving! Food, football, naps, and family. 
11 Random Facts About Me... 1. I love dogs.  2. I leave wreckage in the kitchen whenever I cook. 3. I have a weakness for shoes. 4. My guilty pleasure is The Devil Wears Prada, the movie.  5.
